Dr. Foley just finished teaching a 3 day advanced osteopathic course in Massachusetts. In attendance were osteopaths and medical doctors from China, Japan, Canada, and all across the US. See the curriculum description below.

Anatomy 101
Course Directors: Bill Foley D.O. and Christine Mitchell, D.O.
October 19-21, 2018
The International
159 Ballville Road Bolton, MA 01740

This course is a two-part anatomy intensive with both lecture and practical sessions.

The material is based on the work of William Sutherland, D.O. and research done over the last fifty years by James Jealous, D.O. to clarify the specifics of involuntary tissue motions under the influence of Thoracic and Primary respiration.

The philosophical basis of the course is Dr. Still’s clear message that our skill is dependent upon our awareness of normal.

There will be numerous slides presented that have been created specifically for the purpose of supporting a greater understanding of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field as envisioned by Sutherland.

The purpose of the course, in addition to the obvious, is to markedly increase our diagnostic skills and therapeutic effectiveness.

The embryological basis of each function will be presented to show the evolution of the shape of function as we grow and to demonstrate that the embryological forces are present through out life as part of the indwelling therapeutic forces as discussed by Still/Sutherland in their work.

The fulcrum for specific functions will be considered and approached as a doorway to reorganization of compromised tissue physiology and shape.

The course environment will be one of ease in community with respect and appreciation for the Tide.

Recommended prerequisites: Basic cranial course &/or study of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field as well as at least one Biodynamic course. This course is open to the following participants: D.O., M.D., D.D.S., medical resident or medical student (Osteopathic or Allopathic).
